Building on over 30 years of program success, Jeff Dezen Public Relations (JDPR) welcomes Jakhi Brown to the agency’s internship program, known as the Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP). Throughout the internship, students gain valuable experience in the PR profession that includes diverse, hands-on marketing-communication experience while paired with JDPR’s seasoned PR professionals.
“For three decades, JDPR’s commitment to developing aspiring PR professionals has remained at the heart of EMAP, and many of our alums have gone on to have outstanding careers in the field,” said Drew Dezen, agency director of JDPR. “We are excited to have someone of Jakhi’s caliber join us this summer as he receives valuable experience working within our portfolio of national and regional clients.”
Brown is a senior at the University of South Carolina Upstate, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in communications with a minor in communication studies. At USC Upstate, he has received the Courage in Communications Scholarship award and currently serves on the committee for the Excellence in Teaching and Advising Award.
