JDPR internship program continues to flourish as three distinguished communication students join for Fall 2022

Building on over 30 years of program success, Jeff Dezen Public Relations (JDPR) welcomes Isabel Matos, Grace Myers and Nancy Rice to the agency’s Fall 2022 Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP). Throughout the 12–14-week internship program, these entrants to the PR profession gain diverse, hands-on campaign experience while being mentored by the agency’s industry experts.

“Our interns have an opportunity to directly contribute their ideas and program ‘deliverables’ to our real-world, industry-leading clients,” said Drew Dezen, managing director of JDPR. “We are excited that JDPR can help to shape the communications careers of these highly qualified individuals,” Dezen added.

Matos attends Southern Wesleyan University and will graduate a year early with her bachelor’s degree in media communications. On campus, she produces and hosts a show about pop culture from a Christian perspective and runs social media for the Southern Wesleyan dining commons. Previously, Matos was a member of the Warrior Women’s Golf team and hosted a sports talk show championing the university’s student athletes.

Myers is a senior Digital Media major at North Greenville University and plans to graduate this December. Before joining JDPR, she interned in social media and public relations at the Orangeburg County Fine Arts Center and served as Managing Editor of North Greenville’s student-run website, The Vision Online. Currently, she serves as the Student Public Relations Coordinator for the university’s Communication department.

Rice is a senior pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communications with a public relations concentration from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Rice recently returned to college in pursuit of a career change and brings with her more than 15 years of corporate experience in the technology industry. After graduation, she plans to return to the technology sector in a communications or marketing leadership role.

JDPR is currently accepting applications for Spring 2023 internships. Interested college or university students studying communication, marketing, English or related programs should send their resume and cover letter to Raine Riley at rainer@jdpr.com.
