JDPR announces the addition of three exemplary students to its Executive Management Assistance Program

GREENVILLE, S.C. – JDPR proudly announces the addition of three new interns for Summer 2024
through the Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP). For more than 20 years, the
JDPR internship program has offered real-world marketing communications experience and
professional mentorship to college students and young professionals. This summer’s EMAP
cohort includes Bryn Bissinger, Sydney Hopkins and Shannon Murphy; each will work closely
with JDPR’s account team and senior leadership to develop skills and gain valuable experience
in marketing, public relations and communication strategy.

“Of the dozens of summer intern candidates, these three stood out as exemplary and
have already proven themselves invaluable to the JDPR team,” said agency director Drew
Dezen. “The interest in the EMAP program speaks volumes of its success. We are proud to
provide our interns with the opportunities and resources they need to excel as communication
professionals.”

Bryn Bissinger is a rising junior at Washington and Lee University with a double major in
strategic communication and history. Outside of the classroom, Bissinger dedicates her time to
the university’s women’s soccer team as a Division III athlete and serves as a member of the
Delta Society, an independent Greek organization that prioritizes community service, academic
excellence, personal growth and honorable living. As part of JDPR’s EMAP internship, Bissinger
supports client work in the technology, lifestyle and sports categories with her skills in writing,
creative ideation and critical thinking.

Sydney Hopkins received her undergraduate degree in media studies from Radford University
and now attends Clemson University as a master’s student in the communication program.
During her time at Radford, Hopkins gave back to the community through her many campus
roles including serving as orientation director, executive leader for the Student Government
Association, digital communications intern for the office of university relations and as part of
the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. At JDPR, Hopkins continues to refine her writing, analysis, content
development and communication skills through her support of JDPR’s lifestyle, health and
technology clients.

Shannon Murphy is a rising senior completing her bachelor’s degree in communication from
Clemson University. Murphy joined JDPR with previous marketing experience and with various
extracurricular leadership positions including as a delegate and philanthropy chair for the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity, an academic tutor, and with the Public Relations Student Society of America. As part of the EMAP internship, Murphy supports JDPR’s lifestyle and manufacturing clients with her strong work ethic and her skills in writing, content development and organization.

JDPR is now accepting EMAP applications for the fall term. Interested college students studying
communication, marketing, or related programs should send their resume and cover letter to
Raine Riley at rainer@jdpr.com or apply at www.jdpr.com.
